Such an unusual shot for a film photograph? It is quite different in its approach and composition to most and very interesting for that reason. I was visiting Galway a lot around then but was more interested in rivers and rugby pitches so I can't help with Mullins but the boy reminds me of myself just a few years earlier.

A butchers shop, I think - so the kid is dreaming of mince. A look at Google maps shows that the building is intact but painted a startling lime green - and home to a creperie called Zatsuma. A creperie in Galway City. Who'd have guessed that in 1964?
