is a studio photo from October 1925 of a woman identified as Estelle Taylor with one of these dogs.
Estelle and husband Jack Dempsey returned from their honeymoon in July 1925. See nearby photo in Bain stream

swanq Looking at the domino pattern in the background of this and the next photo of Norman Bel Geddes I assume that they're on the same ship. Ellis Island records show that NBG arrived on the Homeric that year. Also on the Homeric were Paula Martin of Gt Britain (age 33), accompanied by Albert Martin of Gr Brit (age 41) if that narrows it down at all. Identifying the bulldog is very cool

Seuss. : I agree that the ship looks to be the same. I was delighted that Google Lens (using a crop from the Bain high-res image) helped me identify the toy dog. On the whole I don't find Google Lens as useful for detective work on old photos as its predecessor image search interface -- which made it easy to combine a text word describing a category with the image. But in this case, the fact that Google Lens pushes one to things for sale was what did the trick.
