A 3rd prize winner (one of many) in the Sunlight Soap Competition of February 1897 was Edwin Parrack of Springmount Hotel, Bray, with 1414 coupons. He and his fellow 3rd prize winners won a Rolled Gold Watch. (Flag of Ireland 27 March 1897)
[The winner won £21 cash with 18,020 coupons, and each of the 10 2nd prize winners (5,484 to 14,183 coupons) won a bicycle.]
I imagine that to get that many coupons, Sunlight Soap must have been provided in all bathrooms at the Springmount Boarding House. -

Here is Alfred Edward West in the 1911 census at the age of 59, making him approx. 63 in the photo. This would be Kilcroney House. And here is his daughter Hazel West Laverton during the Battle of Pettigo.
