I seem to recall an Irish patriot, maybe one of the Young Irelanders who escaped Van Diemen's Land, relocated then later passed away in California, back in 1924, but I am not 100% sure.

The x marks Mrs P., probably Mrs Pakenham according to the notes on the back.

Reversed, the photo appears to say "Zeisler." Probably en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fannie_Bloomfield_Zeisler

It's also dated 2/6/25, so appears to be another one mysteriously out of sequence.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fannie_Bloomfield_Zeisler certainly looks as though it could be the same person. Her last concert was in Feb 1925, according to the Wikipedia article.

This does appear to be Fannie Bloomfield-Zeisler. There are also two other photographs of Bloomfield-Zeisler in the Bain Collection from the same photo shoot here and here. Thanks for working out her identity. We will update the record to reflect this information.
