Group of children seated at tables and some kneeling, possibly a children's party or festival.

What looks like the same photo to me is described as "School treat, tea, Sept 1904. Young girls seated at benches, most wear straw boater hats" in the catalogue.

Rather well-off children with nice outfits and recently-soled shoes.

There are two others entitled school treat in the catalogue: CLON928:School treat, Fanny Mason, 1904. Group of school girls dressed in pinafores holding floral bouquets older girl holds larger bouquet, perhaps winner of competition. CLON927:School treat, Judging bouquets 1904. Group of barefooted schoolboys wearing breeches and caps, girls in distance wearing white dresses. Man inspecting children holding bouquets. But both of these show less well-off looking children. On the other hand, there are bouquets of flowers in all three photos.

They look so dazed! Probably all that posing and sitting still for long periods. Or too much champagne...? (j/k)

No champagne for respectable young ladies in those days, Greg!
