Is shoeless Joe Jackson still denied recognition in the baseball hall of fame? Can't an argument be made that even though he didn't willingly come forth to expose his team mates for their throwing that infamous game, yet Joe was nevertheless on the field that day playing his heart out -- probably in more ways than one --, and so lovers of the game may graciously give Joe a break?

Yeah, he's still banned, even though a grand jury acquitted all the players accused in the scandal. It's sad, especially considering that to this day he still holds multiple records in major league ball.

Can the Baseball Hall of Fame make those on MLB's ineligible list eligible for election since the Hall is separate from the league?

LOC: I think Pictorial History Committee should re-examine this and the surrounding photos, and check if this one should be redated to 1917.
