    The Self-Master Colony was a shelter for homeless men in Union NJ, opened 1908 in the Hoyt family mansion. The building is now apparently used by the Girl Scouts.

    The name of the director of the Metropolitan Opera ist Heinrich Conried, not "Conreid" as written in the title and the description of the foto. As Conried died on 27 Apr 1909, the foto can be dated correctly with 1909. Source: de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heinrich_Conried
