this picture is really classic, and shows what it was really like in Hollywood back in the day.

I checked the 1910 Paterson census and there was an Albert McBrier who was an undertaker and some Kitays who owned a clothing store in Paterson, so it's definitely the Paterson Strike.

The strike took place between February 1 and July 28, 1913. (see Wikipedia entry)

There was a silk strike in Paterson, New Jersey in 1913 led by Lessig. Lessig and Haywood were subsequently convicted of being disorderly persons due to a large protest march which formed behind them. So, this composite photograph relates to that. The Patterson in the caption may be amended to spelling Paterson in accordance with the "Paterson" inscribed on the negative.
