Manhattan Entrance to the Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel 05/1973

This is an interesting photo, particularly for us car fanatics. Some nice old cars in the photos. what is even more interesting is that if you look further on in this photoset, there is the Manhattan side photo. It had to be taken a few minutes after this one as some of the same cars in the same order are leaving. On the left is a green Dodge A100 van, a blue 73 AMC Gremlin, and a dark blue Dodge Tradesman van. In the other photo, all three vehicles are exiting the tunnel on the far right of the photo behind the dark green/white 72 Mercury Comet. In this photo, the second lane from the right has a 71 Buick Skylark, 73 Mercury Montego, 67 Buick Le Sabre, 72 Oldsmobile Cutlass, and the tip of the front fender of a 64 Chevy Bel Air visible all in a row. All of these cars are exiting on the left in the other photo 2nd lane from the left behind the dark colored 64 Chevy in the foreground. Also visible in the 3rd lane from the right in this photo is a 72 Nova, a frieght truck, and a black 69 Buick Electra 225 Convertible. These are all in the other photo in the third from the left lane behind the blue VW and cream colored Toyota Corona. Also visible in both shots are the two Dodge Coronet Taxis and the metro bus.
