Hmmm. "The Danites" (on the poster extreme right, if I've read it correctly) was a popular theatrical production advertised in the theatrical newspaper The Era at many venues between 1880 and 1900 (mostly 1880s). So I suggest that the picture is near some popular resort with a theatre.
