    There was a Blacklead Hotel in Canadian Lead, a New South Wales goldfields town of the 1870's. Canadian Lead is near Gulgong, NSW. See SLNSW photograph here: libapp.sl.nsw.gov.au/cgi-bin/spydus/FULL/PM/FULL1/1497/62... So, Blacklead could be part of or adjacent to Canadian Lead perhaps.
