I love this shot, the two engines one, ready for its journey and pumping out the smoke while the other is standing there biding its time. I've been trying to locate the station on Streetview but the place has changed so much since 1959 I am struggling. I really would love to identify the two engines and establish their types and service!

Swordscookie The one on the right is an ex Tralee and Dingle Light Railway Hunslet engine brought up when that line closed in late 40's/early50's

Débora Even if it probably is a school textbook! These studio portraits clearly segregate a Mrs from a Miss. While the latter may have a book, the former may have a women's magazine such as Lady of the House. A wife/mother has no time to read books?
