Here's the House of Windisch-Graetz on Wikipedia, but I'm not certain as to which "princess" this is -- possibly Archduchess Elisabeth Marie of Austria

I think that you're right bior, I would say that this is Elisabeth Marie of Austria and her children. We'll fill in some of this information in the caption the next time we update.

Prague is not in Austria!!!! it is CZECH - please update your title and description. Perhaps the Czech republic was part of the Austro-Hungarian empire at the time, but Austria is something else altogether.

To be precise, at the time this photo was taken Prague was designated on maps as being in Bohemia, the Austro-Hungarian province of which it was the principal city. The most accurate description would be Prague, Bohemia, Austria-Hungary.

Karl, as pictured in commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:GdK_Karl_Freiherr_von_Kir... looks slimmer than the guy here, but a heavy coat can bulk you up. www.austro-hungarian-army.co.uk/portraits/jkbach.jpg, which is apparently of Johann, looks more likely as a match.

swanq: I agree with your identification of Archduke Friedrich (man on left) as the photos seem to match. Von Kirkbach (Kirchbach) is more difficult, but it does seem like the Bain image portrays Johann and not Karl. We will include it in the record with "probably" until more information turns up.
