Edit: “The Square and Compasses are really the most well known Freemason symbol. The meaning behind it is quite literal, with the square representing morality in that Freemasons need to ‘square [their] actions by the square of virtue with all mankind’.

The ‘Star of David’ or more properly Solomon’s Seal, is another symbol, and harks back to the Temple of Solomon.

The bazaar was held Easter 1882 in the Dublin
Exhibition Hall (1865) on Earlsfort Terrace where the concert hall now stands. It's aim was to raise funds for the Masonic School in Ballsbridge... where the Clayton Hotel is now. -
