Well at least the lamp-posts have lasted, or have they been reproducing?

National Library of Ireland on The Commons That's the third Austin Cambridge you have posted recently! What's going on? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Austin_Cambridge#A55_Cambridge Anyone know what the car on the right is? FIAT?

beachcomber australia The lampp-posts are the originals so made of good stuff! The car just out of shot was a Ford Anglia with the sharp angle on the rear screen. The third car down (OIK-31) I am not too sure of, possibly a Simca? What I do remember is that back door which demonstrates that this was before the era of the hatchback!

I spent a lot of time working in this area and know it well! By the time I came there in 1968 this had changed somewhat, most of the old buildings on the right were gone and the place was more or less derelict! There's a lot of history attached to the area which was once part of Oxmanstown Green. Down towards the bottom of the street just after the junction with Blackhall Street is one of the last pawnbrokers in Dublin complete with three gold balls overhead as the sign of their trade!

St Catherine's Church, Thomas Street in the distance.

Deja vu - Deja DOG

Edit looking again it could be Deja CAT!!

All the nearby stuff is redeveloped in streetview but you can still see St. Catherine's Church up on Thomas St in the distance.

Did he move his car 100 Mts to take this photo?

We did discuss this photo earlier in relation to this one also featuring ZIK 382:

ah a Ford Anglia and a Cambridge; unhappy memories of chugging around Donegal in the former

A Ransomes, Sims & Jefferies, it says on it.

Not headed for the Steam Rally, anyway; that only started in 1965.

It was me suggested it! I love a good tractor. You can take the girl out of Waterford, but not Waterford out of the girl... :)

derangedlemur The steam rally was my first thought.
