Herbert Lee Pratt of Standard Oil had children Herbert, Jr. and Harriet B. Pratt, and Harriet was in the children's competitions at the Piping Rock Horse Show in 1913,1914 and 1915. query.nytimes.com/gst/abstract.html?res=9D06E1D6113BE633A... query.nytimes.com/gst/abstract.html?res=9D07E0D7143AE633A... query.nytimes.com/mem/archive-free/pdf?res=980DE2DE1E3FE6... (I don't know if this is that horse show or another, but the 4 kids on the left are in riding gear, and there are riding crops and a little trophy on the ground.) Constance Jennings was probably the daughter of Walter Jennings, a Standard Oil executive (per 1920 census). Not sure how Eunice Jennings is related. And Sheila Byrne may have been the daughter of New York City lawyer James Byrne and Helen McGregor Byrne. Not sure how Hilda Byrne is related.

The whipped cream of New York society turned out in October, 1912, for the eleventh annual horse show at the Piping Rock Country Club, in Locust Valley, on the north shore of Long Island. A new clubhouse and stepped observation boxes had just been opened for their pleasure: Story in The New York Times, October 4, 1912: "SOCIETY AMATEURS IN THE SADDLE "Piping Rock Horse Show Attracts Hunting Set to Locust Valley Grounds" query.nytimes.com/mem/archive-free/pdf?res=9D06E1D6113BE6... My grandfather worked for Harriet Pratt's father, Herbert L. Pratt, at Pine Tree Point, his retreat in the Adirondacks of New York State. In 1923, Harriet married Lawrence Van Ingen. In 1938, she married Donald Bush. When my grandfather retired in 1960, my father, Charles Kirche, took over the Pine Tree Point caretakers' job. While going to college, I earned spending money by working at that camp, and I still remember "Mrs. Bush" as a great and gracious lady. Still today, I often drive by my parent's old house across the road from the Pine Tree Point camp and recall the happy days of my youth working for the Pratt family. Submitted by Donald Kirche

Mary Hoyt Wiborg (January 28, 1888 - ?) was a New York City socialite. She wrote the play Taboo in 1922 that featured Paul Robeson. I have written a short biography and added it to Wikipedia: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary_Hoyt_Wiborg
