Yes, touching. Also this picture shows Central Railway Station, Sydney, before electrification. Platform 16 was extended on the City Underground in 1926.

[http://www.flickr.com/photos/51979177@N02] also just uploaded a clearer scan of the image. According to our photographer, sometimes the scanner has trouble with glass plates as the dark areas can behave like a mirror inhibiting the light passing through the negative. :)

We also now notice that the man on the extreme right is probably not Harald Baker unfortunately, as the man far right in our photo now looks more like the man to the left of Baker in the NLA article. Loved that you noticed the girl in the little white dress!
