    I think the large clipper ship is the 'Great Victoria' built in France in 1854, rebuilt in 1864. (ref jamesobrien.id.au/genealogy/james-obrien-and-mary-smith/g... )

    The clipper ship is sitting where the Manly ferry jetty will be built, transferring from west Circular Quay in 1891.

The ship is the Torridon, evidenced by this from the SMH 27/1/1888 p.5 column 6, under subtitle "The Harbour" - trove.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/page/1391422?zoomLevel=5 Relevant text - ... " Of the sailing ships the Torridon, lying opposite Mort's stores, besides her bunting, was decorated with plenty of evergreens. A miniature triumphal arch was erected in the gangway, and fore and aft on her port side she was most prettily decorated. Captain Shepherd seemed quite proud (and properly so) of his fine vessel, but takes no credit to himself. He lays all the "blame" to his second mate. "

" SMH 13/3/1888 p.6 col.1 - trove.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/article/13670318 NB - Not to be confused (as I did) with the 'Loch Torridon' - 4 masts - a more famous ship.
