I believe this is actually not near Creede, CO at all. A horizon this flat can only be seen near the front range in Colorado. I would guess that this is taken on US-40 climbing Mount Vernon Canyon west of Golden, CO, facing west. The hill in the center just below the horizon would then be Green Mountain south of Golden.
