Dorothy D. Smith (1903-1995) of Newton Centre, Massachusetts, began her archery competitions at the age of nine. The daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Louis C. Smith, both of whom were notable archers, Dorothy was the National Archery Association Women's Champion in 1919, 1921, 1922, 1924, 1925, 1926 and 1931, and was an eleven-time winner of the Eastern Archery Association title. She later married Henry S.C. Cummings and was inducted into the Archery Hall of Fame. – [1] [2] [3]

Nemours Gun Club (LOC)

When I saw Nemours I thought this must have something to do with DuPont and Delaware. According to this old book on trapshooting the Nemours Gun Club was the first women's trapshooting club in the United States, founded in Wilmington, Delaware in 1913.
