I find no Harry Cooper listed as a St. Louis Terriers player, but there is a Henry Keupper who pitched for them in 1914, and baseball-reference.com uses this picture with his entry: www.baseball-reference.com/players/k/keupphe01.shtml LOC, any info on how theSABR committee did its identification?
  • The Library of Congress said:
artolog: It is indeed Henry Keupper. We checked with our colleagues at SABR and they acknowledge their error. We'll add this to our correction and update queue.

[Larry Schlafly, manager, Buffalo Federal League (baseball)] (LOC)

The caption says "Blair," and he's not the same guy as in the other Schlafly photo.

Born in Allenport, Pennsylvania, Phillips is best remembered for managing the 1914 Indianapolis Hoosiers to the Federal League pennant" en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Phillips_(pitcher)
