"John Lionel Cooper-Chadwick [the groom] was born on 16 February 1899.1 He was the son of John Cooper-Chadwick and Wilhelmina Heuston.2 He married Beatrix Willie Penrose [the bride], daughter of Captain William Robert Penrose, on 8 August 1931 at Abbeyleix, County Laois, IrelandG.1,3 He died on 2 May 1968 at age 69.1 He was educated at Royal School Armagh, Armagh, County Armagh, IrelandG.1 He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in 1917.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1918 in the Indian Army.1 In 1919 he served on the Afghan Frontier.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was wounded.1 He lived at Broad Acres, Charlton Adam, Somerset, England" ... ... When the marriage was announced in the Waterford Standard on Saturday 30 May 1931 the Cooper-Chadwick seniors' address was Waverley Drive, Bangor, and the Penroses lived at Seaville, Tramore.

From John Mathew’s “Highways and Byways”… Melton Terrace, Melton Hill. Shown as Cleveland Street on the first survey plan of the city. The name was changed to Melton Terrace in 1969. Melton Hill, Melton Street, Melton Lane, and Melton Black Drive were all named in honor of John Melton Black, one of the founders of Townsville, and whose home was built on the crest of Melton Hill. The name Melton Hill was used at the first land sale, of Townsville land, held in Bowen in 1865.
