Noble, Tyson, about 1940-1944

This man is my father. Maurice William Tyson "Ty" Noble (1904 -1990). Yes, he was part of the Commonwealth Air Training Program and was stationed at the Sky Harbour airport in Goderich during the war. He had learned to fly at the Buttonville airport near Toronto, I believe, in the 1930s. My dad's WWII attestation papers state that he was taught by Len Tripp of Leavens' Brothers. www.cahf.ca/CUSTOMPAGES/907/MemberList.cfm?firstLetter=T#203 He was deemed too old for overseas service. In 1942, he received his papers as a Warrant Office Class 1. He taught many young men to be pilots during the war, followed the news about them in the paper, was very sad when any died in action. Later in civilian life, he was instructor and manager at the London Flying Club.
