  Hey, what are those thin, smaller towers with the so-'70s white borders to the right of the WTC?

  I visited New York as a child about a month after this photo was taken. I remember seeing them and asking what they were. An older african-american gentleman told me that they were the World Trade Center towers. He seemed proud.

  Taken out by the World Trade Center -- an event blamed by some for Silicon Valley (and not NYC) emerging as the nation's technology center.
