The kid clearly moved instead of staying still for the photo!

This has happened I think to all of us trying to capture children. They move and you end up with an image much like this one. What an honor it is to view these images from the 1800's. So impressed with the quality and integrity of the images taken over a hundred years ago.

How many of our photos will be around in a hundred year's time?

Hi, this photo has been mentioned in a discussion thread in the Flickr Commonsgroup, and we'd love to have this added to the group pool! -- Seen in a discussion of Flickr Commons. (?)

So happy I'm not the only one with a child that moves during picture's. But even beyond that the expressions on their faces tell the story as well.

Suwalki is a town, now in Poland, close to the northeastern part of the country, near the border with Lithuania, the exclave of Russia that used to be East Prussia, and Belarus. It was the scene of fierce Eastern Front fighting between the Russians, Austrians and Germans during the spring of 1915. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suwa%C5%82ki_Region A contemporary account: www.freefictionbooks.org/books/n/3384-the-new-york-times-... That's a pretty grim hospital...
