    This is not at Mildura. (no railway crossed the river at Mildura). It is the approaches to Paringa Bridge, carrying the Sturt Higway, just east of Renmark, S.A. The railway went to Barmera. The railway across the bridge was flanked by a roadway on each side. The railway closed in 1984 and its path converted to foot traffic. the bridge still stands. (May, 2020)

The South Australian Railways had a branch line from Tailem Bend, that crossed the Murray at Paringa and terminated at Barmera. The bridge still exists and the lifting span still works. The bridge was opened in 1927 and the railway part was closed in 1984 and converted to a footpath.
