Since I can't add notes to the image. There is a steam engine behind the worker, you can see its flywheel. The machines are belt driven from shafts turned by the steam engine. There are about 4 pieces of wood clamped for drilling simultaneously. The pieces drilled previously have been posed on the bench to illustrate what she is doing. There appears to be a tally chalked on the side of the machine.
