That railway cutting is still there, of course, but is now a footpath/ cycleway. The grassy area on the hill on the right is what became known as Smith's Hill Fort, see: www.illawarramuseum.com/a_SmithsHillFort_Print.htm A wonderful, historic photo. Thanks, PowerHouse!
