    This shows the Mt Pleasant coal tramway, which ran to Wollongong Harbour. This section is now a walkway between the Continental Baths and North Wollongong beach.

    That railway cutting is still there, of course, but is now a footpath/ cycleway. The grassy area on the hill on the right is what became known as Smith's Hill Fort, see: www.illawarramuseum.com/a_SmithsHillFort_Print.htm A wonderful, historic photo. Thanks, PowerHouse!
