  This is the "Tin Can Cathedral"! i thought only one photo ever existed of it, but here is another.

  This seems to show a much reduced version of the cathedral. If the year is indeed 1907, then this must be after the tower and some other bits were dismantled. Either that, or this is a few years earlier and shows the church at an early stage.

  I have a couple of other shots of it. I think it may have been fairly popular as a tourist attraction during its brief existence.

  This old drill hall burned down in 1919. It was due for demolition anyway, as the new Legislative Building was nearing completion on the same property.

  Does Main Street go along the train tracks, or does it cross them? If Main crosses the tracks, are we facing the east side of Main?
