This is a Douglas M-4A (c/n 338) belonging to Western Air Express (WAE). This aircraft is still extant and is on exhibit (albeit as a "Douglas M-2") at the Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum's (NASM) Udvar-Hazy Center, adjacent to Dulles Airport (IAD / KIAD) in Chantilly, Virginia. As pre-existing tags already indicate, this is DST-A-207 c/n 1960, which was impressed into the USAAF on June 8, 1942 as C-48B 42-56098. It returned to the civil registry as NC18102 (United Air Lines 'Iowa' January 19, 1944), later N912F. Converted to DC-3A, later N777X, various owners/operators.
