  Lovely portrait of the station, fortunately it still survives. This photo was featured on a BBC railway walk series about 15 years ago in which Mrs Lawlor was interviewed (not sure if she is still around today), I tried to recreate the image myself when I visited Borris.

  In looking at SDM photos, I was wondering where the jet fuel is stored. This photo seems to answer that question. There seem to be underground tanks where the employees are standing.
  
  The big rust streaked tank looks like a water tank. There's another white tank to the right and out of frame. There's a well head next to the white tank. What's the white tank for?
