    Volvo didn't make many cars in the early years- mostly trucks. Their best sales year before the war was about 2000 units. This is a rare one.

    The town hall looks indeed quite modern, still it was built in 1938, created by the Swedish architects Yngve Ahlbom and Nils Sterner. It was made in red brick - a tradtional building material in Halmstad. /Anna B.
