Many people say "out of Torreón" when they are "out" (north) of Gómez Palacio one of Laguna District cities. The Central Mexican Railroad tracks run south to north out of Gómez Palacio. See the shadow casting east west direction. The landscape corresponds more to the area between Gómez Palacio and Bermejillo in the State of Durango. (I am from Torreón and know well its surroundings)

Found an article in El Paso Herald, issue March 21, 1914. Dated in the Constitutionalist (rebel) Headquarters, Yermo, Chih. "VILLA OPENS THE TORREON ATTACK". A subtitle "Rebel Progress Slow": Villa´s recent progress has been slow because it was necessary to repair the railroad tracks and bridges. This morning however, the road was open from Yermo, where the troops have been movilizing to Mapimí and Bermejillo, which (ATENTION) are only a few miles north of Torreón, and are vitually suburbs of that city....... Serial nr. 3058-7 locates that photo around march 29th, 1914, in Bermejillo rail road station, State of Durango, few kilometers north of Gómez Palacio (where the bloodiest combats of La Batalla de Torreón took place [to differentiate from La Toma de Torreón, which took place on October 1rst, 1913] ) and Torreón (which wast taken on april 1rst 1914). Found articles in The Ogden Standard, issue March 23, 1914, it says rebels are in Bermejillo; The Sun, same date it shows a picture of General Angeles and a map of the positions of the rebels; The Salt Lake Tribune, issue March 29, 1914, it says rebels are in El Vergel (that is south to Bermejillo and very close to Gómez Palacio).
