derangedlemur I hadn't got that far yet :-) I'm still trying to figure out what Club the Clubhouse was for.

Built 1830-1840. It's already looking fairly down at heel in this picture.

When I started my first ever job in 1976, I had to go by train to central station and then walk up Westgate Road, to Rutherford Street and Bath Lane. I worked at the printers, Co-operative Press. This scene reminds me of all the times I had to race through the old station to catch my train home, my short cut was to race down Rutherford Street, across the road, down Pink Lane, straight through the main entrance and through to the platforms going to the coast. The ticket collectors on the gate always held the gate for me, or egg me on to "hurry". Happy days.

Yesterdays and todays face are familiar - local faces even to this day. It's fantastic how family faces continue down through the generations like that.
