You may need to revise the date. This photograph was (first?) published in "New South Wales: Its Railway System, Holiday Resorts, &c. A Convenient Volume of Reference to the Principal Railway Stations and Places of interest Along the Railway Lines"; published in Sydney by Authority of the Railway Commissioners of New South Wales in 1897.

I see you have not deigned to correct the date.

There were two churches known as "Scot's Church". One was that built for/by Dr John Dunmore Lang on the cnr York & Jamieson Streets c. 1824. It was known as "Scots Church". The other was in the little road which cut in west of St Andrews cathedral and dead-ended at the Town Hall. This was St Andrews Scots Church. I think they were both Presbyterian, but different "factions".
