PORT SAID, Sept. 28. -- At 9:50 o'clock this morning the wreck of the British steamer Chatham, with her cargo of ninety tons of dynamite and blasting gelatine, was blown up by mines distributed around and inside her hull. These were fired by an electric current from Raselech, about five miles away. -

Is that some sort of hybrid vessel? Looks like it's rigged for sails, but I think I can see a smokestack amidship.

@rjones0856: Yes, the ship does have sails and a steam engine. The use of sails economised on the need for coal, but the engine was there for when the wind wasn't blowing.
