I was just saying to myself that we have had some cracking photos over the past few weeks! (no comments needed on the topic of talking to yourself!)

On the 25" map, a paper mill. It's on the 1830s 6" map, too. A housing estate is being built there now called Drury Mills, others nearby are called Millrace Crescent, Gardens etc. Founded in the mid 17th century according to southdublinlibraries, and open until the 1970s.

southdublinhistory: For much of their history the mills were driven by a huge water wheel on the river Camac, at the upper mill; it was said to be the largest waterwheel in Ireland. Also: famous for their Ancient Irish Vellum and Erin brands I remember at least one Vellum brand, I wonder if it was this one? Finally: Apparently named after the former Dean of St Patrick’s, Jonathan Swift, in whose prebendary Saggart was located

I found an old pad in a drawer, and no - the Vellum I remember (and still have a few sheets of) was Fine Irish Vellum by Wiggins Teape on the East Wall.

Great mix of expressions on view. Wonderful shot. My mother-in-law would have been nine that year but she does not appear on this one.

Are there school photos available that the public can access? My grandmother Rose Boyle in the 1911 census is listed as assistant teacher living in Meenmore Dungloe Donegal. Her sister Annie Boyle is School Mistress. Would there be photos?
