NYTimes for October 26, 1912 describes how the "Turks Abandon Uskub, victorious Servians Take Possession of the Imporant Stronghold." From Wikipedia article: "The Ottomans were shortly expelled from the city in August 12, 1912 by the local Slavic population. Several months later the city was captured by the Serbs at the beginning of First Balkan War." According to Wikipedia: "In 1912, the name was officially changed from Uskub (the Turkish name for Skopje) to Skoplie. Skopje is the capital and largest city of Macedonia en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skopje
