The Motor Age article describes the October 9, 1915 running of the first Astor Cup race at Sheepshead Bay Speedway, which fits the Bain order for this picture, though the Wikipedia caption for this picture says it is from the Indianapolis 500, which was on May 31, but gives no attribution. Based on races result from that day as per link below, this appears to be the finish of the Third Division race won by Lady Vizier from Silver Night and Yokel. Other starters were Bonnie Mack, Lady Wraith, The Singer, Blue Herod, Mira's Luck, Lord Lisbon, Kerfoot, Royal Frisco, and Perfect. The margins were a neck by half a length.
