The Sun's caption: 'Here are some more attractive salesgirls arriving for work in colorful slacks.' nla.gov.au/nla.obj-433706416/view - Pix, 7th March, 1942...see the pictorial feature 'Salesgirls Keep Rooftop Vigil', pp. 23-25...when the Mark Foy's sales girls finished their day jobs they went upstairs and doubled as ARP wardens!

    Helen Twelvetrees (1908-1958), American film actress: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Helen_Twelvetrees She was in Sydney in 1936 to shoot a film called "Thoroughbred" at the Cinesound Studios, Bondi Junction, Sydney.
