    :) I used to have wooden skis and poles similar to this in the 50s, early 60s. And the ski bindings were like springs around the back of the boots which had deep grooves. What memories! My grand mother used to wear a long skirt with bristles at the bottom when she was skiing (overseas).

    lol, great one State Library! You had me fooled! :) I was a bit puzzled why the guy on the left is wearing a short sleeved shirt and the guy on the right an outfit that could have been worn in the snow. But then I thought, some may be feeling hot in the winter sun, some may be feeling cool! I miss those magnificent sand dunes at Cronulla! A great shot in b & w! :)
