WRECK OF THE FL0RANT. WOY WOY, Thursday.— The auxiliary fore-and-aft schooner Florant struck the east spit on the Brisbane Water bar at the flood tide, about 3.30 p.m. on Wednesday. She took the old boat channel which, owing to adverse winds, has silted up, and struck on a sunken rock, which went through the bottom on the starboard side. The heavy current at that point carried her to the eastward, and through the continual bumping she has lost her rudder, and is now full of water. There is very little hope of salving the hull. There are two Jersey City oil engines installed. The Florant was a regular trader between Sydney and Gosford, carrying general cargo and returning with timber. She is a vessel of about 40 tons, owned by the captain and others.

ASHORE AT ULLADULLA. SEAS BREAKING OVER THE SEAGULL. News cams to hand at 10 o'clock to the effect that two vessels had gone ashore at UlladuIla, 108 miles south from Sydney. They were the steamer Bellbowrie, from Sydney, and the Seagull, a small tender, also from Sydney. The two vessels were sheltering from the heavy easterly sea, but parted their moorings, and before anything could be done were driven bodily on to the beach near the leading marks to the port. The Seagull, at the latest, was broadside on the beach, and the sea was breaking over her. The surge inside the little harbor of Ulladulla was particularly strong this morning, and extra lines were put out but they did not hold. The sea was smashing over the breakwater and rolling heavily on to the beach inside. Fishing boats and launches were having a lively time, and many of the first named had to be hauled on to the shore well clear of the breakers.
