Sharon Corbet I think you have it Sharon! I was looking for a bridge but the nearest one to where the ships were moored is relatively new so I was looking in vain! This would have been taken from the heights near where the railway station is now!

The view is likely taken from the area of the Lower Barrakka Gardens or St Barbara Bastions, looking towards Fort St Elmo and Fort Sant Angelo across the water.
