The blue color is in reallity white. It is often used to highlight details for reproduction in magazines or newspapers.

Interesting, Peter's Collection. Can you say a bit more about how it works? If white, why does it show blue? Has the process a name? Very intrigued...

Rechts in beeld de beroemde vervalsing van Han van Meegeren, 'De Emmausgangers', deze hangt nu in het Boijmans. Wellicht zijn de andere stukken ook uit het Boijmans afkomstig?

Inderdaad kocht Hannema het schilderij in 1938 voor het museum Boijmans. De kop "Kunstschatten Rijksmuseum" lijkt dus niet correct.

Dit is inderdaad de Emmausgangers van Han van Meegeren, dus niet alleen schilderijen van het Rijksmuseum waren daar aanwezig (?)

Kunstwerken van verschillende musea werden vanaf 1942 opgeslagen in de Pietersberg. Op de foto rechts De Emmausgangers van - toen nog -Vermeer uit het bezit van Museum Boijmans-Van Beuningen, sinds 1945 bekend als een vervalsing door Han van Meegeren. Linksonder een olieverfschets van Rubens uit het bezit van hetzelfde museum.

Ik zag de naam van een ander kunstwerk... als U naar deze foto gaat, ziet U dat de Nachtwacht hier eveneens opgeslagen was.
