    Don't know if anyone noticed: in the larger sizes of this photo, under the list of names of the Detachment of the Royal Marechaussee (Military Police) security personnel written on the wall, can also be read "National Art Treasures a.o. Night Watch of Rembrandt". Wow!

    Kunstwerken van verschillende musea werden vanaf 1942 opgeslagen in de Pietersberg. Op de foto twee schilderijen uit het Mauritshuis in Den Haag: De Bewening door Rogier van der Weyden (boven) en Portret van Constantijn Huygens en zijn vijf kinderen door Adriaen Hanneman (onder).
