A fine shot and very informative! I would not have known much about Odense as a foreigner and I was surprised to learn that the name probably originated when it was a centre of worship to the god Odin! The people of Odense had good reason to celebrate the liberation: "Ever since 1937, the mayor has been a Social Democrat, and during the German occupation of the Second World War, the general strike in Odense held in August 1943 was a major contributor to the collapse of the policy of collaboration with the Germans, on 29 August 1943." It took courage to stand up to the Nazi's and to lead the way!
