Give the workers seem to be riveting, it is unlikely they are removing paper from the pilot's window. In fact, they probably aren't even working on the cockpit - looks more like the nose or perhaps tail section.

I agree with perfgeek they are riveting. The girl on the left is driving the rivet while the girl on the right is forming the shop head also known as bucking the rivet. I'll bet that at the end of the day these two couldn't hear anything. Dave
