caption reads: Reliance V worlds champion....(unreadable) built by smith ryan co, Algonac, Mich photo taken nov 27th, in a 40 mile gale Date stamp is Feb 14, 1912 otherwise know as baby reliance v, she was a "hydroplane" racer, this being the smallest one, as the racers were placed in classes depending on their length, she raced several years for Commodore J S Blackton
