Interesting beams, they are formed concrete, evident by the indents along the sides where you can see the granules from the mix, and caused by the boards in the form.

I disagree. Those are wood timbers. Concrete beams of that length were not in use at that time. Large trees were still available to make such long beams. Since the picture was taken in 1939 or 1940, the building would have been from a much earlier era.

it's a tough call...looks like you can see the indents from boards in a form but anyhoo...the Roman colisseum was constructed of concrete CK42.

Look at the first beam in the larger version and you'll see obvious signs of forming over the support where the edges of boards are seen and gravel texture peaks out on the sides. There are also dings in the too perfect corners of the top edges. The length of the concrete beams was why I thought this was so interesting for its time period. Most of the wood has been removed from the building, and beams of that size in that length would be too valuable to leave.
