Probably this occasion on November 13, 1919: "NATION HONORS MEN KILLED IN RUSSIA; Funeral Services Held in Hoboken for 103 Soldiers Slain Fighting Bolsheviki. WADSWORTH PRAISES DEAD Coffins Draped In American Flag and Covered by Wreaths of Flowers." query.nytimes.com/mem/archive-free/pdf?res=9F05E3DB1F3BEE... The article describes the bodies being brought from Archangelsk, Russia aboard the army transport Lake Daraga to Pier 4 in Hoboken, NJ, a funeral ceremony on the pier, then a procession to a mortuary where the bodies could be claimed by families.
